McLaughlin received more vota than Riley In the Allendale, Buchan, Blue Spr ings and Raeford No. 3 precincts. Turnout for the runoff was light with 1,736 of the county's 7,343 registered Democrats voting in the eketion, according to the unofficial rctumi. Three seats aie open in the county commissioners race. Riky will run with fellow Dcmocrau Thomas P. (Tom) Howdl and Oeo Bratcher Jr in the November elections. Julian H. Mrs. Dexter Jones ot Rt. 1 in Parkton reported that between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Mav 25 her residence was broken into ami pro petty stolen Deputy \Aaxne Gardner in vestigated and found that subicctx had cut out a window and enieted the house, records say It wav discoxered that video equipment, guns and jewelry valued at S7(X) was taken.
